Owasco Stage Race

May 14-15, 2005: Owasco Stage Race – Auburn, NY - This was the weekend I had planned to fly down to Arkansas to revisit the Joe Martin Stage Race in Fayetteville and stay an extra week to do the Tri-Peaks Challenge in Russellville. With some major changes happening on the “work front”, I opted for Plan B...a trek to upstate New York to do a 2-day, 3-event stage race.

Poolesville Road Race 5/14

Poolesville is a unique road race in that it has a 1.25 mile section of hard-packed dirt each lap. I decided to do this race because it was 5 laps for a total of 53 miles and the women in the DC area are notoriously strong. I was hoping for a challenging race and I got it!

Philly 2-Day by Maria Collazo

Philadelphia, PA Race Dates: April 9th & 10th: The Philly 2-Day was held as an omnium weekend. For most of us, this outing was our first race of the season. After having not race since last summer, this was the weekend to work out some kinks and rediscover racing, recover our racing legs and rediscover racing as a group.

Ronde Mullica Race Report by Susan Duff

Ronde Van Mullica Sunday, April 3, 2005-- This was my first race of the ’05 season. Sarah Charlesworth and I represented Tri-State Velo in a field of about 15 (not really sure). I had all of the usual first race anxiety (”Have I done enough miles/intervals/etc…”), compounded by some knee pain that I was trying to resolve.
