Bicycle Racing Skills and Drills Intro Clinic - March 1st 2014

Racing season is right around the corner!

Poised to reap the benefits from a long winter of training (really long with all this snow), most cyclists are excited for their first race of the season, and possibly their first race ever. Fitness is important in cycling, but fundamental skills are vital to ensure that everyone can compete safely, and have a good time. So now is the time of year to brush up on all the fundamental skills, and it's a great time to host a clinic. It also functions as an excuse for me to practice drills before my first race of the season, and as you'll learn.

We'll be meeting at Philadelphia Bikesmith at 9am, and moving into Fairmount Park to cover drills shortly thereafter. Everyone planning to attend will be required to wear a helmet, and though clipless pedals are recommended, they are not required. No prior racing experience is required, and this clinic is open to all participants male or female. After going through all of the drills, we'll proceed back to Philadelphia Bikesmith for some socializing, and to answer any more indepth questions.

I look forward to seeing you all for a fun morning of skills and drills, please see the attachment for further information, and also be sure to RSVP at the Facebook Event Page.

Some real skills, some not so real skillz!
