Dear Mr.Amoroso,

This is a letter I have written many times in my head, and, until now, never sat down to write. I have been wearing and racing in the Tri-State Velo/Amoroso Cycling uniform now for well over 12 years. It has not escaped me that some of my happiest and most fulfilling personal successes have been achieved while wearing your name on the back and front of my cycling jersey.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you – truly thank you – and thank you formally, for your sponsorship and support all these years. I’m not sure whether other team members, beside Ron Ruggiero, have taken the time to thank you personally, but rest assured, all of us wearing the Amoroso banner wear it proudly as a sign of our Philadelphia roots and we really do appreciate all you have done for us and the sport here in Philadelphia.

I live in South Philly, and I cannot tell you the number of times I’m rolling back home, exhausted from a hard day of training, only to hear from the locals on the sidewalk “Amoroso-o-o-o-o-o-o Go!!!” as a token of respect and admiration. Additionally, the times I’ve crossed paths with the Amoroso delivery trucks, the drivers always sound the horn in solidarity, respect and encouragement. Those encounters always bring a huge (HUGE) smile to my face!

Thank you. Thank you for the years of sponsorship. Thank you for a wonderful array of delicious bakery products. Thank you for supporting our sport at the grassroots level and at a local level. The Amoroso brand, is, and will always be, a part of my life on the bike and, of course, in the kitchen!

With gratitude and respect,
Sincerely,
Cassandra King
